What is renaut 9?

Renault 9 was a small family car produced by French automaker Renault from 1981 to 1996. It was launched as a replacement for the Renault 14 and was marketed as a simpler and more robust vehicle than its predecessor.

The Renault 9 was initially available as a four-door sedan, but later versions included a five-door hatchback, two-door coupe, and a convertible. It was powered by different gasoline and diesel engines ranging from 1.1 L to 2.2 L, and also had a turbo version.

The Renault 9 was particularly popular in Europe and Latin America, where it earned a reputation for reliability, fuel efficiency, and low cost of maintenance. It also won the European Car of the Year award in 1982.

Despite its success, Renault phased out the Renault 9 in the mid-1990s due to the increasing competitiveness of the compact car market and the introduction of newer models.
